How to Vote
Michigan voters can choose to vote by absentee ballot, early in-person, or on Election Day. See the timeline below.

Register to Vote
If there are 15+ days before an election, you can register online, by mail, or in-person.
Within 14 days of an election, and on Election Day, you may only register by visiting your local clerk’s office in-person with proof of residency documentation.
You can register to vote, check your registration status, and find information about your local clerk at Michigan.gov/Vote.
Absentee Ballots
In Michigan, you may request an absentee ballot up until 5pm on the Friday before the election. No reason is required.
Make sure your ballot is received by your local clerk by 8pm on Election Day. You can request an absentee ballot here.
About District 80
Michigan's 80th House District is located in Kent County and includes Kentwood, East Grand Rapids, Cascade Township, and parts of Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Township.
This district was established in 2022 as part of the first iteration of legislative maps drawn by the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission that voters approved in the 2018 elections.

Last day of early voting.

Election Day. Polls are open 7am to 8pm. You can still register in-person at your local clerk's office.
